Mary Johnson - ECE Teacher
Out of School, Preschool
Started at Tree House in 2001
After graduating with my ECCE in 2000, I began teaching at Tree House in 2001. I have worked in all the programs here and also with children with Special Needs. I have taken specific courses on Autism, Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), along with many workshops. I believe that play is the most important“work” a child can do. They learn so much and it comes so naturally to them. It’s amazing to observe children at play! Personally, I have lived on the North Shore for a number of years, returning after living in my other homeland of Barbados. I have a son, Shyloh, who is recently recently Graduated from the University of Victoria.

Margot Wright - ECE Teacher
ECE, Preschool, Infant and Toddler
Preschool, Out of School Care
Started at Tree House in 1997
September 1997 I was asked to substitute teach a Preschool Class here at Tree House. Before the end of that day I knew I had found where I wanted to be… I am passionate about everything Treehouse! Every day there are a multitude of opportunities to share, learn and grow. I love the diversity of people, (young and older) the inspiration and kaleidoscope of skills they bring. I firmly believe in learning through play. As a teacher it is my job to work for and utilize those “teachable moments”. As an Administrator it is my role to encourage, support and help provide the tools to build the bridges, from Child to Child, Child to Teacher, Teachers to Parents and Treehouse to the Community. I trained in Australia, graduating in 1981. Since then I have worked in many branches of Early Education and I am a Mother of two.

Kate Dwyer - ECE Teacher
Out of School Care Program
Started at Tree House September 2013
Kate received her ECE/Infant Toddler diploma in Great Britain in 1976 and then became an elementary school teacher. She taught and ran a Nursery School in England before an adventurous move to Los Angeles where she taught and wrote children's plays. Later, she moved to Vancouver and opened her own daycare when her son was little. She then worked in an Infant/Toddler program and ran a pre-school in North Vancouver. She moved to the West Vancouver School District to work with special needs students. Kate finds herself very fortunate to teach at a Career College where she mentors and teaches new students on how to become great Early Childhood Educators. "Since 1976, I have never wavered from working with children, each day I have been able to laugh, encourage and play! I chose a great rewarding career"!

Teresa Raidl – Office Administrator
Started at Tree House in 2008
Originally I came to Tree House as a parent of children that attended preschool. I quickly grew to love the Tree House environment and spent time volunteering in the kitchen and on the Board. I began working at Tree House part-time in 2008. I am responsible for Book Keeping, Payroll and anything else that needs to get done! . First as a parent, then as a part of the team, I am familiar with all the services Treehouse provides. I have a variety of office admin experience, but it is the combination of my work and the warm atmosphere and funny moments at Treehouse that I love. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions about fees, payments or anything else related to Office Admin.
